National Lutheran Schools Week – Memories..
At the end of January, Zion Lutheran School will be celebrating National Lutheran Schools Week. National Lutheran Schools Week provides more than 1,900 preschools, elementary schools, and high schools with the public opportunity to proclaim and celebrate God’s work among us in schools of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you, our parents and families, for choosing to send your children to Zion Lutheran School! At Zion, we focus on providing a Christ-centered education in an environment that nurtures faith and thankfully celebrates God’s redemptive love and grace — in a proven program of Lutheran education.

“Zion is not just a school, it’s a home and it’s a family. I spent many years here learning from the greatest teachers- teachers that not only taught us math equations and grammar but also how to be a better person. I can say with confidence that Zion prepared me for the real world by teaching me how to defend my faith while also showing me how to accept others with a differing view. In my current career, I witness real struggle and sadness. I deal with stress that some might not know what to do with. Having a strong foundation in my faith Zion helped me form, I can stay optimistic and keep my focus on the Lord when it might seem impossible.”

Zion Lutheran played a significant role in my life. There are so many unforgettable
memories I made while I was there with friends and professors I still keep in touch with till this day. My teachers taught me how to excel academically in the classroom. I learned how imperative it was to write grammatically (an essential part of legal writing) and the importance of discipline and dedication, helping me learn good study habits early on in my academic career, which I carried well into law school. Additionally, these same teachers also served as my basketball coaches. They developed me to grow into a student-athlete and they were tremendous role models that I looked up to, not only because of their intelligence but also because of their unwavering faith in God. Lastly, most importantly Zion strengthened my faith. From religion class to weekly chapels to daily prayers, I have continued to proactively use all these tools every day as a reminder to continue to be a soldier for the Lord in all my endeavors.
